Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Adventure advisor representative will pick you from the Airport and then take you to the hotel. Depending on arrival time after taking some rest, you can stroll around the city on your own.

Day 02: Free day: Trekking preparation

After breakfast , you will have time to prepare for the trip or you can troll around the city on your own. Stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar then drive to Num

After breakfast, we will drive to Tribhuvan International Airport to catch the flight to Tumlingtar. During the fight, we can view the mountains and beautiful landscapes from the height. After arriving to Tumlingtar airport we will take another drive to Num in a local jeep. After Arriving at Num, we will settle for the day.

Day 04: Trek from Num to Seduwa

Today, we descend incredibly steep and terraced slopes towards the Arun River. The lower slopes of this narrow valley are densely forested and the paths are quite slippery, after reaching the bottom, cross the suspension bridge across the torrential Arun River, and climb back out of the rain forest, reaching our lunch place at Runruma. Further walk steep climb takes us up to Seduwa a village. Upon arrival we will rest at local tea house for the day.

Day 05:Trek from Seduwa to Tashigaon 

After breakfast, we will prepare for the journey ahead. We have easy and pleasant short walk. The trail takes you to rural farm villages. On the gradual trail through the farm fields and terraces, as we come near to Tashigaon, it's an uphill climb for an hour through the millet and rice fields. Upon arrival we will have some rest, later we will take our time walk around the village.

Day 06: Trek from Tashigaon to Khongma Danda

After breakfast, our journey heads toward’s next destination Khongma Danda. The walk is refreshing for an hour and a half in the beautiful shade of the rhododendron and oaks forest. After leaving the dense forest we pass through a summer pastures with traces of temporary made shepherd huts. From here onwards to Kahuma ridge is strenuous uphill climb, as the tree lines declines for the bushes of rhododendron and juniper. We'll stay here and can be seen scenic mountain ranges.

Day 07: Acclimatization day

Today we will be spending our day in Khongma Danda. Acclimatization helps our body to adapt to the environment and reduces the chances of having altitude sickness. We will be exploring the surrounding for few hours and we will take rest preparing for the next day’s trek. Stay overnight at Khongma Danda .

Day 08:Trek from Khongma Danda to Dobato via Shipton’s La pass 4125m (3650m, 6-7 hrs)

Today is a test to see how well you handle higher altitudes as we ascend to Shipton La Pass (4220m). The trek is interesting and takes us by Kalo Pokhari (3930m - lake), across Keke La Pass (4170m), and offers fantastic views of Mt.Chamlang (7319m), Peak 6 (6524m) and Peak 7 (6758m). After crossing the Keke La Pass, we head down through the beautiful valley to Dobato where we will stay for the night

Day 09: Trek from Dobate to Yangri Kharka

After breakfast,we will trek through the rich rhododendron forest and reach Barun River. Initially we will walk slowly and carefully, as the first couple hours of the trail are steep and arduous. After that, we will be gradually gaining altitude to reach Yangari Kharka.

Day 10: Trek from Yangri Kharka to Langmale Kharka 

After breakfast, we walk toward’s our next destination Langmale Kharka . We walk through through the valley, forests, and passing Yaks grazing. In the initial phase of this trek, we are hemmed in by towering valley walls. We will then come to Merek and then head uphill where there are more incredible views of the Himalayas

Day 11: Trek from Langmale Kharka to Shershong

After having our breakfast at Langmale Kharka, our journey starts. Our trail pass through the forests of rhododendron and pine gradually cede to the alpine terrain of the highlands as the trail continues to climb. The views along the trail are among the best on the trek. Upon reaching Shershong , we call off the day.

Day 12: Trek from Shershong to Makalu Base Camp

Today is a gradual climb to a minor pass. From here you will have magnificent south face views of Makalu also you will be able to see the complete panorama of Everest and Lhotse.

Day 13: Explore the Mt. Makalu Base Camp and surroundings

Today, you will explore the base camp. Makalu Base Camp is a rocky barren palace with huge Barun Glacier. You will get to see a panoramic view of the south face of Mt. Makalu, Mt. Everest, and Mt. Lhotse. In surroundings, there are several lakes and glaciers that you can walk to witness. Likewise, you will also go on a short excursion to view more beautiful views.

Day 14: Trek from Makalu Base Camp to Yangri Kharka

After Breakfast, we will leave Makalu base camp and its beautiful serenity. After leaving base camp and we head back down to Langmale Kharka and to Merek then through the valley until we reach Yangri Kharka where we stay the night.

Day 15: Trek from Yangri Kharka to Dobato

Following the same route back, you will descend through rock falls, green forests, and valley to reach Dobato. You will also walk along the Barun river bank and descend towards the destination of the day.

Day 16: Trek from Dobate to Khongma Danda 

 

After breakfast, We begin our five to six-hour trek today following the trail to Mumbuk passing through fir and rhododendron forests. We then have to cross Keke La Pas, Tutu La Pass (Shipton’s Pass), Kauma La Pass, and then on to Khongma Danda.

Day 17: Trek from Khongma Danda to Seduwa 

After breakfast, we move further down to Seduwa. The steep descents wait along precipitous trails and forested pathways that repay the effort with beautiful views of the surrounding valley. After 8 hours of walk we will reach to Seduwa and settle for the day.

Day 18:Trek from Seduwa to Num

The final day of the journey, hiking through the imposing walls of the valley, with a last view of the familiar villages, streams and forests from the outward journey. A final night at Num allows time to relax and reflect, appreciating your well-earned accomplishment.

Day 19: Drive from Num to Tumlingtar

After breakfast, we will move towards Tumlingtar where we will be spending the night.

Day 20: Fly back to Kathmandu 

After a quick breakfast, we will fly back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, we will head toward’s the hotel. Later, in the evening, you will enjoy a farewell dinner organized by the Adventure advisor nepal.

After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to Airport.

Insurance:

Travel insurance is compulsory for all our clients. Travel Insurance should cover personal injuries, helicopter rescue, repatriation expenses e.t.c. We ask our clients to buy Travel insurance for adequate protection against any unforeseen unpleasant events.

 

Climate:

There are four seasons in Nepal : Winter (December – February), Spring (March – May), Summer (June – August), Autumn (September – November). For trekker’s autumn and Spring is considered as the best season for trekking. In autumn the view is clear after Monsoon rain and views spectacular along with fresh lush green vegetation.  In Spring temperature is moderate and trekking can be done with good view of the Himalayas. In winter the temperature remains generally mild, sometimes with windy. These season fewer Trekkers will be on the routes and one can enjoy quiet trails along with incredible view of Himalayas. Monsoon will be there in summer with heavy rain fall along the trails. The days are warmer and longer in this season. Although trekking can be done in this season but the Trails will be steep creating more challenges during the way. Besides, trekking all other types of tours in Nepal can be done all over the year. The summer may be disturbing sometimes but the essence of the tours remains the same.

 

Accommodations:

3* accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhera on bed and breakfast basis. In Chitwan accommodation will be arranged on 3* along with full board meal. All accommodations are on Double bed/twin-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request with additional cost. Extra day’s accommodation are subject to availability. During trek, trekkers will accommodate in Tea houses/Lodges. They serve Breakfast and Dinner with the menu available in Teahouse/Lodge. Lunch will be served along the way in tea houses.

 

First aid kit and Emergency:

During the trips our guide carries the First aid kit with them. However you can also bring personal first aid kit with you. Rescue assistance (Should any emergency arise during your trek) we will provide prompt and professional rescue and medical services. For this, it would be better to have your own travel insurance that can cover situations like: helicopter evacuation, medical treatment cost e.t.c. in case required. 

 

Documents and visas:

A visa for entry and a passport valid at least 6 months after return. The visa will be issued on presentation of the completed entry form, payment of the visa fee (to be made at the separate counter in the entry area at the airport) as well as a passport photo in the original (machine picture is sufficient) at Kathmandu airport. Children need their own passport, entries in their parents' passport are no longer recognized.

The fee can be paid in cash and also in euros (at the current rate). The visa allows multiple entries.

Visa Extension Fee
•    Tourist visa extension is done for minimum 15 days with $ 45 and $ 3 per day for additional days.
•    In the case of delay less than 150 days additional $ 5 per day as late fine.

Gratis Visa (Visa for Free)
Gratis Visa is issued free of cost in case of following categories of Visa applicants:
•    Children below 10 years except US citizens
•    Up to 30 days for SAARC Citizen (except Afghanistan) visiting Nepal for the first time in a given visa Year.  Afghan citizen are eligible for Gratis Visa on Arrival only upon the recommendation of Department of Immigration. If you are an Afghan citizen, you can request concerned institution inviting you to Nepal for necessary paperwork with Department of Immigration to get you Gratis Visa 'On Arrival'.
•    Non Residential Nepalese(NRN) card holder ( issued by MoFA /Nepalese diplomatic missions abroad)
•    Chinese Nationals

  • Sunglasses/ Day and hiking backpack approx. 25 l/Rain cover for backpack

  • Travel bag or other flexible piece of luggage (including a small lock)/additional small bag to store luggage

  • Nepal visa ( On arrival Multiple Tourist visa for 15 days can be obtained by paying USD 30 or equivalent foreign currency. Similarly, Tourist visa with Multiple for 30 and 90 days can be obtained by paying USD 50 and USD 125 respectively). Please bring 2 passport size pictures for the visa process.
