We spend two days in Kathmandu, which is rich with traditional culture and heritage. We visit world's heritage sites, ancients temples and palaces.  We have two days Jungle activates in Chitwan National park. We enjoy three days in Pokhara. Pokhara has mesmerized visitors from all over the world with the rare combinations of snow-clad peaks and snow fed lakes and rivers. It is the starting point of popular trekking and rafting destinations. The serenity of the Phewa Lake accompanied by the grandeur of Machhapuchhre creates an ambience of peace and magic. Pokhara is the home for dense forests, gushing rivers, lucid lakes and the world famous view of the Himalayas. Nagarkot is at elevation of 2,195 meters, it's landscape and view of Himalayas touch every human kind as well we fond to see beautiful glass shaped sun twinkling from the east.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival in the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, we will be greeted by a representative from Adventure Advisor Nepal who will drop us off at our hotel. After checking in, we take a rest and In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by AAN. For dinner, you will be served excellent authentic Nepalese cuisine which will introduce you to the Nepalese food culture.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Today, after breakfast, we start a guided tour to four of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu.  Kathmandu Durbar Square holds the palaces of the ancient kings who ruled over the Kathmandu Kingdom. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus all over the world. We also visit popular Buddhist stupas in Kathmandu. Swayambhunath, is located in the heart of the city and is also called Monkey Temple by the tourists owing to the large number of monkeys in the temple area. Bouddhanath is one of the largest stupas in the world, and one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage and tourist destinations in Kathmandu. The area of Boudhnath is also famous for over 50 Tibetan gompas or monasteries.

Day 03: Drive to Chitwan

After breakfast we drive to Chitwan located 175 kilometers from Kathmandu. We descend down along the winding road on the banks of the Trishuli River. After checking in to the hotel, there will be a briefing on the activities we will be engaged in during our stay in Chitwan. We then walk on the banks of the Rapti River to enjoy the sunset in the sub-tropical jungles of Chitwan. In the evening, we enjoy dinner along with a brief cultural program showcasing the tribal dances unique to the Chitwan region of Nepal.

Day 04: Chitwan National Park

Early in the morning, we will be mounted on elephant backs for a jungle safari through dense grasslands to witness wildlife in their natural habitat. After breakfast, we visit the elephant stables and even enjoy bathing the elephants. During the afternoon we can either drive through the jungles followed by a canoe ride down the Rapti River. While canoeing, we may get a close look at the Gharial and Mugger crocodiles along with fresh water dolphins, otters and varieties of water birds. Or, we may even go for bird watching or nature walks and come closer to one horn Rhino and a variety of wild flora and fauna found in the park.

Day 05: Drive to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft)

After breakfast, we leave Chitwan for Pokhara, also known as The Lake City owing to the large number of lakes in the city. The road first passes through the subtropical jungles and fertile vegetation in Chitwan. As we leave Chitwan, the landscape changes. We see hills, small settlements and terraced farms. Upon our arrival in Pokhara, the beautiful lake city, we are rewarded with magnificent views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Manaslu (8,156m), Machhapuchhre (6,993m), the five peaks of Annapurna and others. We check-in to our hotel and take a rest. We may also stroll in the streets of Pokhara and just enjoy being in one of the most beautiful cities of Nepal.

Day 06: Hike to Sarangkot (1600m), sunset views

Early in the morning we leave for Sarangkot, a hill in the north-west region of Pokhara that overlooks the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges in the north and the main city in the south. We start our hike from Naudanda and get to Sarangkot. We stop at a tea-house in Sarangkot and enjoy amazing views of the sun as it sets in the mighty Himalayas. From here, we also get a view of the Pokhara city below and the abundant Fewa Lake.

Day 07: Sunrise, sightseeing in Pokhara

We soak in the early morning sunrise from Sarangkot before heading back to Pokhara and touring the city’s many landmarks. Davis Falls is a unique waterfall that flows directly into a narrow and deep canal which has no end. The Shiva Cave is located near Davis Fall and houses a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, a primary Hindu God. We also do some boating in Phewa Lake, the largest lake in Pokhara and visit Bindyabasini Temple located at the center of the Lake. We visit the famous International Mountain Museum (IMM) that records, documents and chronicles the past and present development of mountaineering activities in the world and the Himalayas in particular. We also tour the Tibetan refugee camp and witness how the refugees keep themselves busy by producing and trading woolen carpets and other handicraft items.

Day 08: Drive to Kathmandu, sunset views from Nagarkot (2195m)

After breakfast, we say goodbye to the beautiful northern skyline of Pokhara and drive towards Kathmandu. This will be a journey along river banks with wonderful views of hills and rural Nepalese lifestyle. From the city, we continue our drive to Nagarkot, a village within the Kathmandu Valley renowned for its sunrise and sunset views of the Himalayas. After reaching Nagarkot, we enjoy the viewpoint’s cool breeze and watch sun set amidst the Himalayas.

Day 09: Sunrise from Nagarkot, sightseeing in Patan and Bhaktapur

Early in the morning, we enjoy amazing views of the sunrise amidst the Himalayas. After breakfast we drive downhill to Bhaktapur and finally to Patan. Bhakatpur is an irresistible city with an authentic local lifestyle preserved over centuries of isolation from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. While in the city square, we get to admire the Nyata-Pola Temple, the Golden Gate, water spouts and the 55 Window Palace which merge together to provide an ambiance of a magical outdoor theater to its visitors. We also immerse ourselves in the authentic delicacy of the locals in Bhaktapur. Later, drive to Patan. Listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Patan Durbar Square is rich in ancient arts and architecture. In the evening, there will be a farewell dinner hosted by AAN to celebrate the successful completion of your Nepal tour.

Day 10: Final departure

Our adventure in Nepal comes to an end today. A representative will take us to the airport approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight.

Insurance:

Travel insurance is compulsory for all our clients. Travel Insurance should cover personal injuries, helicopter rescue, repatriation expenses e.t.c. We ask our clients to buy Travel insurance for adequate protection against any unforeseen unpleasant events.

 

Climate:

There are four seasons in Nepal : Winter (December – February), Spring (March – May), Summer (June – August), Autumn (September – November). For trekker’s autumn and Spring is considered as the best season for trekking. In autumn the view is clear after Monsoon rain and views spectacular along with fresh lush green vegetation.  In Spring temperature is moderate and trekking can be done with good view of the Himalayas. In winter the temperature remains generally mild, sometimes with windy. These season fewer Trekkers will be on the routes and one can enjoy quiet trails along with incredible view of Himalayas. Monsoon will be there in summer with heavy rain fall along the trails. The days are warmer and longer in this season. Although trekking can be done in this season but the Trails will be steep creating more challenges during the way. Besides, trekking all other types of tours in Nepal can be done all over the year. The summer may be disturbing sometimes but the essence of the tours remains the same.

 

Accommodations:

3* accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhera on bed and breakfast basis. In Chitwan accommodation will be arranged on 3* along with full board meal. All accommodations are on Double bed/twin-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request with additional cost. Extra day’s accommodation are subject to availability. During trek, trekkers will accommodate in Tea houses/Lodges. They serve Breakfast and Dinner with the menu available in Teahouse/Lodge. Lunch will be served along the way in tea houses.

 

First aid kit and Emergency:

During the trips our guide carries the First aid kit with them. However you can also bring personal first aid kit with you. Rescue assistance (Should any emergency arise during your trek) we will provide prompt and professional rescue and medical services. For this, it would be better to have your own travel insurance that can cover situations like: helicopter evacuation, medical treatment cost e.t.c. in case required. 

 

Documents and visas:

A visa for entry and a passport valid at least 6 months after return. The visa will be issued on presentation of the completed entry form, payment of the visa fee (to be made at the separate counter in the entry area at the airport) as well as a passport photo in the original (machine picture is sufficient) at Kathmandu airport. Children need their own passport, entries in their parents' passport are no longer recognized.

The fee can be paid in cash and also in euros (at the current rate). The visa allows multiple entries.

Visa Extension Fee
•    Tourist visa extension is done for minimum 15 days with $ 45 and $ 3 per day for additional days.
•    In the case of delay less than 150 days additional $ 5 per day as late fine.

Gratis Visa (Visa for Free)
Gratis Visa is issued free of cost in case of following categories of Visa applicants:
•    Children below 10 years except US citizens
•    Up to 30 days for SAARC Citizen (except Afghanistan) visiting Nepal for the first time in a given visa Year.  Afghan citizen are eligible for Gratis Visa on Arrival only upon the recommendation of Department of Immigration. If you are an Afghan citizen, you can request concerned institution inviting you to Nepal for necessary paperwork with Department of Immigration to get you Gratis Visa 'On Arrival'.
•    Non Residential Nepalese(NRN) card holder ( issued by MoFA /Nepalese diplomatic missions abroad)
•    Chinese Nationals

  • Nepal visa ( On arrival Multiple Tourist visa for 15 days can be obtained by paying USD 30 or equivalent foreign currency. Similarly, Tourist visa with Multiple for 30 and 90 days can be obtained by paying US 50 and USD 150 respectively). Please bring 2 passport size pictures for the visa process.
  • Extra night accommodation because of early arrival or  late departure (due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary
