In center of the old city, founded in the twelfth century by the Malla dynasty, opens the historic Durbar Square, the Palace Square, where the kings were crowned. The kings of the city was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979. On the Durbar Square and the two neighboring squares overlooking the ancient royal palace with balconies and windows decorated with fine wood carvings, Hindu temples and monasteries dedicated to Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver, Shiva the destroyer and regenerator; beautiful buildings with yards, as the abode of Kumari, a young girl chosen as the living goddess of the city. All around the maze of streets branching off of the old town.Continue our journey to Swayambhunath , also known as the "monkey temple" for the large colony of monkeys that live there, the great Buddhist complex dominates the city, with the watchful eyes of the Buddha have been surveying the valley in every direction. The hill on which stands the temple was, according to legend, an island emerged on a large lake that submerged the entire Kathmandu valley, its origins go back to 460 AD, Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon visit Patan is the second city of the valley and is located south of Kathmandu, but it was partially absorbed by capital. Historically it is known by the Sanskrit name Laliput, "city of beauty", founded in 250 BC, governed by local aristocrats, and finally conquered by the Malla kings. The Patan Durbar Square is full of temples, palaces and buildings, which are an extraordinary collection of Newari architecture. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

The temple is dedicated to Shiva the destroyer and creator together, and is frequently the scene of cremation, where the dead body, wrapped in a shroud, is laid on a pyre of wood and set on fire. This funeral process is allowed to the visitors from the opposite bank of the river. We recommend the utmost respect during the funeral ceremonies. Then you’ll proceed to Bodhnath , also called Boudha, religious center of the large community of Tibetan exiles in Nepal. The village is built around a huge circular stupa surmounted by the gaze of the Buddha, the place is charming and animated by Tibetan pilgrims moving around the stupa in a clockwise direction spinning the prayer wheels.
