Next, head eastward to Bumthang, Bhutan's spiritual heartland, where historic monasteries, like Jakar Dzong, offer insights into the country’s deep religious roots. From Bumthang, venture through the serene Phobjikha Valley, renowned for its seasonal black-necked cranes, and travel onward to Paro via Wangdue Phodrang, a town rich in history. Discover the enchanting Haa Valley, accessible through the breathtaking Chele La Pass—the highest motorable pass in Bhutan with panoramic Himalayan views. Complete the journey with a hike to the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliffside, where awe-inspiring views and a tranquil atmosphere make it a memorable highlight of Bhutan’s natural and cultural splendor.

Fly into the Himalayas with Druk Air, Bhutan’s National Air Carrier. Enjoy the flight over green hills and valleys gradually ascending over towering mountains of the Himalayas. It is breathtakingly beautiful especially when the weather is clear. The view of snowcapped peaks of some of the highest mountains on earth captures one’s heart and mind. As the aircraft enters the Paro valley, the Paro Dzong overlooking Paro Chu (river) and the Ta Dzong, (watch tower), now the National Museum, above it is easily noticeable. After completion of airport formalities our representative will receive you at the airport and proceed to Thimphu- Modern Capital city of Bhutan. Visit to Tashichhodzong, ‘fortress of the glorious dharma’. It is the center of government and religion, site of King’s throne room, National assembly hall, and seat of Je Khenpo or Chief Abbot. Built in 1641 by the political and religious unifier of Bhutan, Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, it was reconstructed in 1961 in traditional Bhutanese manner, without nails or architectural plans. Evening – visit the Thimphu market and take a stroll through the town’s main street. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
After breakfast, sightseeing of Thimphu valley includes, visit to, buddha point- world largest sitting buddha, flock heritage Museum, National Library, a treasure trove of priceless Buddhist manuscripts. Afternoon, visit to Bhutan Post-where you can take photo or give your own photo to make stamp or poster. If you wish to send in your country also you can send by Bhutan Post. Also visit King’s Memorial Chorten continuously circumbulated by His Majesty’s subjects, spinning prayer wheels and murmuring mantras. Then, visit Handicrafts Emporium and local shops if you like to browse through example of Bhutan’s fine traditional arts. Here you can buy textiles, thangkha paintings, masks, ceramics, slate and wood carvings, jewellery, interesting items made from local materials, and all manner of unique objects. Evening visit clock Tower. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
After breakfast Proceed for a full day to Punakha (Approx 75km/ 3 Hours from Thimphu). Punakha is the old capital of Bhutan and now its district of punakha Dzongkhag. Punakha was the capital of Bhutan till 1955. En-route Dochu la Pass. Visit Douchu la pass (3150masl), in this pass most of time snowfall but it is depends on the weather and you can see the ice on opposite of the roadside. The pass is a popular among the tourists because of its 360 degree panoramic view of Himalayan range. The place is worth going in clear winter days with magnificent view of snow-capped mountains and mountain pass. Hike to chimmi lhakhang- Chimi Lhakhang, also known as Chime Lhakhang or Monastery or temple, is a Buddhist monastery in Punakha District, Bhutan. Located near Lobesa, it stands on a round hillock and was built in 1499 by the 14th Drukpa hierarch, Ngawang Choegyel, after the site was blessed by the "Divine Madman" the maverick saint Drukpa Kunley (1455–1529) who built a chorten on the site. Visit to punakha Dzong: The Punakha Dzong, also known as Pungthang Dewa chhenbi Phodrang, is the administrative centre of Punakha District in Punakha, Bhutan. Constructed by Ngawang Namgyal, 1st Zhabdrung Rinpoche, in 1637–38, it is the second oldest and second largest dzong in Bhutan and one of its most majestic structures and Suspension Bridge.
Morning Hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgay chorten, chörten in the Punakha District, Bhutan. This chörten was built in 2004 by HM The Queen Mother, Ashi Tshering Yangdon Wangchuck, in Nyizergang — about a thirty-minute walk uphill from the footbridge in Yepaisa Village Visit – Talo Goenpa and Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery, Chorten Nyingpo Lhakhang, Norbugang Lhakhang.

After early breakfast you will drive to Bumthang, the cultural heartland of the country. The route is along a spectacular winding road, crossing 3,300-meter-high Pele La pass, and at certain times of year it’s possible to see yaks. Visit Chendenji Chorten, View of Trongsa Dzong and You will stop in Trongsa for lunch (lunch at water fall café). After lunch you’ll visit Trongsa Dzong, the masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture and Musum of Trongsa- Ta Dzong. Then you’ll proceed to Bumthang with lush valleys and hilly forests. Along the way you will stop at a yathra (textile weaving) factory, where the yathras are designed with patterns unique to Bumthang, and you can even watch some of the weavers at their looms. Check into hotel on arrival.
Morning drive till burning lake (Mebar Tsho) in Bumthang and continued visit Jakar Dzong, the administrative center of the valley; Jambay Lhakhang, one of the oldest monasteries in Bhutan, dating from the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan; and Kurjey Lhakhang, one of the most sacred places, because Guru Rinpoche, a great 8th century spiritual master left his body imprint on the cave when he was meditating. You will also have a chance to tour Tamshing Lhakhang, a treasure house of interesting religious Buddhist paintings. In the evening you can visit swiss guest house for tasting red panda beer and factory visit and also visit local shops in Chamkhar Town. Overnight at hotel in Bumthang
After breakfast, drive to phobjikha valley- Approx 5 hours’ drive to Gangtey Monastery. Visit Gangtey MonasteryGangteng Monastery of the Nyingma sect in central Bhutan, where the graceful black-necked cranes in Bhutan from the Tibetan Plateau visit the valley during the winter season to roost. Visit crane information centre and 1 hours walk in Gangtey Nature trail. Overnight in Phobjikha
After Breakfast- proceed to paro, one way where you see beautiful wangduephodrang Dzong- visit wangduephodrang Dzong. Continued proceed to paro for 3 hours’ drive. Lunch at Hotel Lobesa-where you can enjoy the view of Chimilhakhang and valley view and continued drive to Paro. Stop near chuzom- two river meeting together, iron bridge, stop near paro river and enjoy the view of Paro airport. Evening leisure time at paro Town. Overnight in Paro
Morning drive to Haa Via Chele la Pass, stop at chele la pass - ocated at 3810m (13,000ft), between the valley of Paro and Haa is Chele La, the highest road pass in the country and drive to Ha Valley- This steepy north – south valley is the ancestral home of Queen Grandmother of Dorji family. Just 30 kms away from Paro valley is filled with paddy fields all around the county. Surrounded by mountains and vast grasslands, Haa valley is one of the most beautiful valleys of Bhutan. This serene place is filled with tradition. People here follow the traditions said by 8th Guru Padmasambhava which can be seen in the local traditions and festivals. Visit Lhakhang Karpo, known as White Temple is one of the oldest temples around. As per the legend King Songtsen Gampo released a black and white pigeon in order to build temples. The white pigeon landed on mountains of Chenrizi of towering Rigsum. On the other hand black pigeon landed on north – that is Lhakhang Nagpo. Evening drive back to Paro. Overnight in Paro.
After than hand breakfast at hotel and continued proceed to Tiger Nest Hiking. Take an excursion to Taktsang Monastery, the most famous of Bhutanese monasteries. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery hence it is called “Tiger’s Nest”. The excursion to monastery’s view point takes about 5 hours for round trip. Activities: Hot stone Bath at Traditional home stay at paro, -the ancient tradition of hot stone baths in Bhutan is designed to soothe your soul and relax your body through a unique combination of the natural elements. After breakfast drive to the airport for flight to onward destination.
