Conclude with a hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched high on a cliff, offering awe-inspiring views and a peaceful ambiance—a perfect end to this unforgettable Bhutan experience.

Fly into the Himalayas with Druk Air, Bhutan’s National Air Carrier. Enjoy the flight over green hills and valleys gradually ascending over towering mountains of the Himalayas. It is breathtakingly beautiful especially when the weather is clear. The view of snowcapped peaks of some of the highest mountains on earth captures one’s heart and mind. As the aircraft enters the Paro valley, the Paro Dzong overlooking Paro Chu (river) and the Ta Dzong, (watch tower), now the National Museum, above it is easily noticeable. After completion of airport formalities our representative will receive you at the airport and proceed to Thimphu- Modern Capital city of Bhutan.
Visit to Tashichhodzong, ‘fortress of the glorious dharma’. It is the centre of government and religion, site of King’s throne room, National assembly hall, and seat of Je Khenpo or Chief Abbot. Built in 1641 by the political and religious unifier of Bhutan, Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, it was reconstructed in 1961 in traditional Bhutanese manner, without nails or architectural plans. Evening – visit the Thimphu market and take a stroll through the town’s main street. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
After breakfast, sightseeing of Thimphu valley includes, visit to, buddha point- world largest sitting buddha, flock heritage Museum, National Library, a treasure trove of priceless Buddhist manuscripts. Afternoon, visit to Bhutan Post-where you can take photo or give your own photo to make stamp or poster. If you wish to send in your country also you can send by Bhutan Post. Also visit King’s Memorial Chorten continuously circumbulated by His Majesty’s subjects, spinning prayer wheels and murmuring mantras. Then, visit Handicrafts Emporium and local shops if you like to browse through example of Bhutan’s fine traditional arts. Here you can buy textiles, thangkha paintings, masks, ceramics, slate and wood carvings, jewellery, interesting items made from local materials, and all manner of unique objects. Evening visit clock Tower. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
After breakfast Proceed for a full day to Punakha (Approx 75km/ 3 Hours from Thimphu). Punakha is the
old capital of Bhutan and now its district of punakha Dzongkhag. Punakha was the capital of Bhutan till
1955.
En-route Dochu la Pass. Visit Douchu la pass (3150masl), in this pass most of time snowfall but it is
depends on the weather and you can see the ice on opposite of the roadside. The pass is a popular
among the tourists because of its 360 degree panoramic view of Himalayan range. The place is worth
going in clear winter days with magnificent view of snow-capped mountains and mountain pass.
Visit to punakha Dzong: The Punakha Dzong, also known as Pungthang Dewa chhenbi Phodrang, is the
administrative centre of Punakha District in Punakha, Bhutan. Constructed by Ngawang Namgyal, 1st
Zhabdrung Rinpoche, in 1637–38, it is the second oldest and second largest dzong in Bhutan and one of
its most majestic structures and Suspension Bridge.
Morning Hike to chimmi lhakhang- Chimi Lhakhang, also known as Chime Lhakhang or Monastery or temple, is a Buddhist monastery in Punakha District, Bhutan. Located near Lobesa, it stands on a round hillock and was built in 1499 by the 14th Drukpa hierarch, Ngawang Choegyel, after the site was blessed by the "Divine Madman" the maverick saint Drukpa Kunley (1455–1529) who built a chorten on the site. After lunch drive to Paro, stop near chu zom- two river meeting together, visit iron bridge, stop near paro river and enjoy the view of Paro airport, Visit Ta Dzong, Paro Rinpung Dzong (Museum), Nya-Mey Zam. Evening spend your time in Paro Market.
Morning Join in Paro Festival- One of the most revered and important events is the Paro Tsechu (11th to 15th day of the 2nd month of the Bhutanese calendar every year). The Tshechu begins (10th day of the 2nd month of the Bhutanese calendar) and ends (16th day of the 2nd month of the Bhutanese calendar) from Dzongdrakha monastery above Bondey. Paro Tshechu is also one of the most popular festivals in the country. People from all over the country flock into the festival premises in their best dresses to witness and get blessings during the five day Tshechu. Tourists from far and wide add to both the number and variety of people attending the Tshechu. Various Mask Dances and Folk Dances are performed both by the monks and the laymen from the community. The main highlight and attraction of the Tsechu is the unfurling of the giant Guru Thongdrel (Liberation by the sight of it) on the 5th day of the Tshechu, is a masterpiece of silver embroidery of Guru Rinpoche’s eight manifestations and two consorts. Even people from other districts travel to Paro to witness and get blessings from the Thongdrel.
The Thongdrel is brought from the Dzong in a religious ceremonial procession to the Tshechu ground at Deyangkha and unfurled at 3 am which covers the entire three storied building. After the completion of rituals and blessings, the Thongdrel is furled and taken back to the Dzong before sunrise. Evening visit, Drugyel Dzong & Keychu Lhakhang. Overnight in Paro.
Morning drive to Haa Via Chele la Pass, stop at chele la pass - ocated at 3810m (13,000ft), between the valley of Paro and Haa is Chele La, the highest road pass in the country and drive to Ha Valley- This steepy north – south valley is the ancestral home of Queen Grandmother of Dorji family. Just 30 kms away from Paro valley is filled with paddy fields all around the county. Surrounded by mountains and vast grasslands, Haa valley is one of the most beautiful valleys of Bhutan This serene place is filled with tradition. People here follow the traditions said by 8th Guru Padmasambhava which can be seen in the local traditions and festivals. Visit Lhakhang Karpo Also known as White Temple is one of the oldest temples around. As per the legend King Songtsen Gampo released a black and white pigeon in order to build temples. The white pigeon landed on mountains of Chenrizi of towering Rigsum. On the other hand black pigeon landed on north – that is Lhakhang Nagpo. Evening drive back to Paro. Overnight in Paro
Early in the morning, visit paro Dzong , where you can see Guru Thongdrel (Liberation by the sight of it) on the 5th day of the Tshechu, is a masterpiece of silver embroidery of Guru Rinpoche’s eight manifestations and two consorts. Even people from other districts travel to Paro to witness and get blessings from the Thongdrel. After than hand breakfast at hotel and continued proceed to Tiger Nest Hiking. Take an excursion to Taktsang Monastery, the most famous of Bhutanese monasteries. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery hence it is called “Tiger’s Nest”. The excursion to monastery’s view point takes about 5 hours for round trip.
