Day 1: Drive to the hotel and embark on the next adventure
Our day kicks off early with a convenient hotel pickup in Kathmandu. A private vehicle will then transport to the airport, marking the beginning of our aerial adventure to Upper Mustang.
Upon arriving at the airport, check in for our helicopter flight. The first leg of our journey is a 45-minute flight to Jomsom, a town situated at an altitude of 2,700 meters. This flight provides initial glimpses of diverse landscapes and the majestic Himalayas
Upon landing at Jomsom, a brief 5-minute stopover is scheduled for helicopter refueling. Jomsom, nestled in the mountains, serves as a gateway to various trekking routes, offering a scenic backdrop during the wait.
From Jomsom, embark on a 30-minute helicopter tour to Upper Mustang. This leg of the journey elevates you to an altitude of 3,800 meters, providing breathtaking views of the Mustang region renowned for its distinctive landscapes and cultural heritage.
The helicopter lands in Lo Manthang, a walled city in Upper Mustang, allowing you 40 minutes to explore and savor the Himalayan scenery. Seize this excellent opportunity to witness the beauty of the region, including views of several towering mountains.
You now board the helicopter for the return flight to Kathmandu. This 1-hour 30-minute journey provides an opportunity to reflect on the morning's experiences and appreciate further aerial views of the Nepalese landscape.
Drive to the hotel and embark on the next adventure: Ultimately, we'll be taken back to our lodging in Kathmandu. Now we have an opportunity to unwind and share the remarkable tales and visuals of the Annapurna Base Camp adventure with companions and loved ones.
