Itinerary

Day 1

We arrival in Kathmandu on the first day kicks off our adventure. Complete any necessary visa requirements and customs clearance at the airport's arrival section. Upon exiting, our representative will then then transported us to our designated hotel in Kathmandu. Shortly after, the representative will brief us on the upcoming plans

Day 2

On the second day, embark on a day tour as a warm-up before your trek. Kathmandu, adorned with artistic palaces, monuments, ancient temples, and UNESCO-listed world heritage sites, provides the perfect backdrop. Today, we’ll explore these cultural treasures, starting with Kathmandu Durbar Square, known for its exquisite art, crafts, and carvings. Following that, our journey includes visits to Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa.

Day 3

Early in the morning, we'll be picked up from hotel and transported to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport for a flight to Phaplu. Upon arrival, our trek commences in the Himalayan foothills, delving into the enchanting Solu region. The route unfolds stunning vistas of terraced hills, Sherpa villages, farmlands, and towering mountains. We proceed along a trail to Chayalsa, offering opportunities to explore a local market and visit monasteries. Tonight we’ll be staying at guesthouse in Chayalsa.

Day 4

After departing from Chayalsa, we proceed along the trail towards Kerung. Along the way, we traverse through various Tamang, Sherpa, and Magar villages, providing a chance to engage with locals and gain insights into their distinctive culture, customs, and traditions. The walk also treats you to breathtaking views of mountains and Himalayan landscapes. Today's journey takes you into an area influenced by Tibetan Buddhist culture, offering the possibility to visit some monasteries along the route. Tonight, accommodation will be provided at a guesthouse in Kerung, with meals inclusive.

Day 5

Starting from Kerung, we embark on a trail that guides us to Jhapre, a scenic six-hour walk away. The journey unfolds along a picturesque route, traversing through enchanting forests adorned with wild orchids and rhododendrons along the Solu Okhaldhunga to reach Jhapre. Along the way, we'll encounter various Buddhist stupas and monasteries. Upon arrival, settle into a guesthouse in Jhapre, where we'll be treated to a captivating cultural performance featuring traditional songs and dances that are truly worth witnessing.

Day 6

The day begins with a delightful sunrise view amidst the mountains. After savoring the sunrise, we have breakfast at the hotel before gradually ascending through lush rhododendron and pine forests to Bulbule. From Bulbule, a one-hour uphill walk is followed by a gentle stroll to the village of Lamachaya. Continuing uphill from the village, we eventually reach Pikey Base Camp, where only a few households are found. Along the way, an interesting stop is a cheese factory. By evening, we arrive at the base camp, where we can relish glorious sunset views over the Langtang Himal. You’ll be rewarded with expansive vistas of the Himalayas, from Kanchenjunga to Annapurna, if the weather is clear. Tonight, we stay at Pikey Base Camp.

Day 7

Today marks the pinnacle of our trekking adventure, as we wake up surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of mountains and expansive grasslands. Early in the morning, we embark on a challenging ascent to Pikey Peak, a highlight of our journey. At the summit, we are rewarded with awe-inspiring views of the surrounding mountains. After savoring the mountain vistas, we descend, treated to magnificent sights of the Himalayan landscapes. En route, we encounter yaks grazing in vast meadows, offering the opportunity to taste pure yak milk if interested. Our trail continues until we reach Jase Bhanjyang, our destination for the day. Tonight, accommodation will be provided at Jase Bhanjyang, with meals inclusive.

Day 8

In the morning, we delight in the spectacular views of Everest and the surrounding peaks. Following breakfast, we depart from Jase Bhanjyang and descend into the Junbesi valley. The journey unfolds through a pristine environment, offering a wonderful eight-hour walk. Despite being the longest walking day, it's a memorable one as we traverse the historic Everest trail. We conclude our day with a delightful dinner at our guesthouse in Junbesi.

Day 9

Awakening to a positive ambiance in the serene surroundings of Junbesi, we commence our day by exploring the village and visiting Thuptenchholing monastery in the morning. Witnessing a distinctive Tibetan medicinal therapy adds to the unique experience. Following this, we descend through the trail to Phalpu, a picturesque six-hour walk amidst forests and Sherpa villages. Tonight, accommodation will be provided at a guesthouse in Phaplu.

Day 10

In the early morning, we take a flight from Phaplu airport to Kathmandu, the capital city. Upon arrival, we’ll be transferred to a hotel in Kathmandu. After checking in, we’ll enjoy the rest of the time in our way. In the evening, we'll gather for a special farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of our journey. We'll spend the night in Kathmandu.

Day 11

Today marks the conclusion of our journey in Nepal. Our representative will transfer to the airport on time. If there's a wish to extend the stay in Nepal for additional adventure activities or explore neighboring countries such as Bhutan, India, or Tibet, AAN is ready to assist with all the necessary formalities.
